Summary:

HER LOVE HAS COME ALONG . . .
Amy Michaels loves her new life in Lucky Harbor. A waitress in the local diner, she's looking forward to her first weekend hike through the mountains. But when a wrong turn takes her off the trail, she finds herself up close and personal with forest ranger Matt Bowers. And even though she's tempted to kiss that sexy smile right off his face, she won't make the mistake of getting involved with the town heartthrob.

A former cop whose life went south, Matt doesn't let anyone get too close. But something about the feisty beauty caught his eye the moment he first saw her in the diner. After a hot night under a starry sky, Matt can't deny their attraction - or the fact that for the first time in a long time, he feels the stirrings of something more. Now it's up to Matt to help Amy see that, no matter what is in their past, together they can build a future in Lucky Harbor.

My Thoughts on the Book:

I loved At Last. Such a great adult contemporary romance, and a perfect summer read. I read it in a day, 'cause I couldn't stop reading it when I started.
So, in this novel, we follow Amy & Matt's story. I found this book deliciously sweet, and fun, and sad, and cute, and funny, and also a book with a lot of heart.
I loved Amy & Matt as characters, and as a couple - they were so great together! And Amy's grandmother's story was just so sad (yeah, I got teary-eyed), and another thing I loved that there wasn't a lot of angst (you know, when the main characters have a fight near the end, and they're mad at each other, and usually quite stubborn) here it was in the perfect dose, with less stubborness, and I loved this fact even more.
This wasn't the first Jill Shalvis' book I've read, but it's been a while, and I loved this one so much, probably my most favorite of her novels at the moment, and definitely one of my favorite contemporary romances. Now I'll have to get myself a copy, so I can read it again & again!
Also, I absolutely loved the setting, the descriptions of the nature were amazing, I felt like I was there, hence, At Last is the perfect summer read.
So, yeah, I loved this book, and I can't recommend it enough! If you're a fan of fun contemporary romances, then this one is a book for you, and if you're a Jill Shalvis' fan, At Last is a must-read!
