WWW Wednesdays #62!

To play along, just answer the following three (3) questions…

  • What are you currently reading?
  • What did you recently finish reading?
  • What do you think you’ll read next?
This weekly meme is being hosted by MizB at Should Be Reading!

What are you currently reading?

I just started The Reckoning by Kelley Armstrong.

What did you recently finish reading?

As you can see, I've been on a Darkest Powers roll, or should I say Kelley Armstrong roll, so yeah, I'm enjoying a lot the series :)

What do you think you’ll read next?

I don't know if I'll read The Gathering right away after finishing The Reckoning, and I'm finally in a mood for reading Pushing the Limits (yay for NetGalley) but I'm not starting it until I finish The Reckoning, 'cause I have a feeling I won't be able to stop reading it :)

Weigh In Wednesday #6: Reading One Book at a Time Vs. Reading Multiple Books at a Time!

Weigh In Wednesday is a new weekly meme hosted by Lauren @ Epilogue!

If you'd like to participate, visit this post HERE!

This week's theme:  Reading One Book at a Time Vs. Reading Multiple Books at a Time!

Ok, so this one is not so easy for me. I do prefer reading one book at a time, but most of the time I have multiple books started & reading them at the same time.
Why?
Well, one of the reasons is that I'm a really moody reader. I read almost all genres, and when I read a book, I want to be in a mood for it (even if it's from a favourite author), 'cause then I enjoy it to the maximum & it has my complete attention, but if I'm not in a mood for it, I put it aside until I'm in a mood for it again (although there are those rare books that although I'm enjoying them, I put aside because I don't want to finish them yet, either because I don't want them to end at all, so I try to postpone the inevitable or I can't make myself finish them at that time because of something that happened in it or something I know it will happen, or something like that, but I do want & plan to finish them, and I'm not thinking about books I gave up on because I disliked or maybe even hated them, although I rarely give up on a book, but yeah, there are those I wish I never read).
But, back to the theme, as I already said, sometimes when I start a book & I enjoy it, I might stop being in a mood for it, so I put it aside until I am ;) I don't have problems with forgetting where I stopped, or what happened, I have a very good memory when it comes to that, and I never mix up what happened in which book, 'cause usually the books I've started at the same time are from different genres. Also, I can have a previously started book, put it aside & started another one which I didn't stop reading until I finish it, so I didn't read anything else while reading it, and that's what I prefer, but unfortunately that doesn't always happen.
I've literally jumped around books, sometimes because a reading slump, when I've been searching the book that will end my reading slump, or sometimes because I don't know what I'm in a mood for (re-reading a favourite usually helps then), but I have to say that one have to be careful with what books will start at around the same time - at one time (probably around 2 years ago) I started 3 books at almost the same time (it was for a read-a-thon) & I absolutely fell in love with them, and I couldn't put them down & I didn't want to put them down, but thankfully I was free then, so for 2 or 3 days I literally jumped around them all & read a few chapters from each until I read them all, and yeah, I was feeling like I was going crazy doing that and since then I'm careful about starting books I think I might love at the same time, so yeah, it hasn't happened since then :)
And as always, I tend to forget myself, but as a conclusion:
What do I prefer?
Reading one book at a time.
But, what do I do?
I do both equally: I read one book at a time and I read multiple books books at a time!
So, this time I'm undecided :)
So, what about you?

"Waiting On" Wednesday #78: UnWholly by Neal Shusterman!

"Waiting On" Wednesday is a weekly event, hosted by Jill at Breaking the Spine, that spotlights upcoming releases that we're eagerly anticipating.

UnWholly
(Unwind, book 2)
by
Neal Shusterman

Publication date:
August 28th, 2012

Summary:
Thanks to Connor, Lev, and Risa — and their high-profile revolt at Happy Jack Harvest Camp — people can no longer turn a blind eye to unwinding. Ridding society of troublesome teens while simultaneously providing much-needed tissues for transplant might be convenient, but its morality has finally been brought into question.
However, unwinding has become big business, and there are powerful political and corporate interests that want to see it not only continue, but also expand to the unwinding of prisoners and the impoverished.

Cam is a product of unwinding; made entirely out of the parts of other unwinds, he is a teen who does not technically exist. A futuristic Frankenstein, Cam struggles with a search for identity and meaning and wonders if a rewound being can have a soul. And when the actions of a sadistic bounty hunter cause Cam’s fate to become inextricably bound with the fates of Connor, Risa, and Lev, he’ll have to question humanity itself.

Rife with action and suspense, this riveting companion to the perennially popular Unwind challenges assumptions about where life begins and ends - and what it means to live.

Why I'm waiting for this book?
It's been 2 years since I read Unwind, and it was absolutely amazing and it became one of my favs & yeah, it was one of the first dystopians I've read, so it set the bar quite high for later on, and it's still one of the best dystopian books I've read and one of those books you still think about long after finishing them, so yeah, I can't wait to read this one :) I'll probably re-read Unwind, too - I've been planning that for quite some time now, although I still remember it in details :) And if you haven't tried Neal Shusterman's books, I highly recommend them, he's one of my fav authors now (although I still haven't read everything from him), but his Skinjacker Trilogy was absolutely amazing, so I highly recommend it!

I decided to go with the All The Way level & read 8-10 Armstrong YA books, including all of the short stories, too!

My Reading List:

~ Dangerous (novella, part of the
Darkest Powers Bonus Pack, narrator: Derek)
~ Kat (online short story HERE, narrator: Katiana)
~ The Summoning (novel, narrator: Chloe)
~ Divided (novella,
part of the Darkest Powers Bonus Pack, narrator: Derek)
~ The Awakening (novel, narrator: Chloe)
~ Disenchanted (novella,
part of the Darkest Powers Bonus Pack, narrator: Tori)
~ The Reckoning (novel, narrator: Chloe)
Facing Facts (short story, in "Enthralled: Paranormal Diversions", narrator: Chloe)
~ Belonging (novella, narrator: Derek)
~ Hunting Kat (novella, originally in “Kisses from Hell”, now available as ebook too, narrator: Katiana)
~ The Gathering (novel, narrator: Maya)
~ The New Guy (online short story HERE, narrator Maya)
~ The Invitation (online short story HERE, narrator Rafe)
~ The Calling (novel)
~ The Rising (novel)

I haven't read the series yet, but I think this is the right order using Darlene's list above, the author's chronological list & some comments I read on Goodreads from people that read all of these, so hopefully I got it right, if not, let me know.
Kat is a prequel short story to Hunting Kat, which although stand alone novella, it's set in the Darkest Powers series, so I'm guessing it will be some how tied within the last trilogy, if not sooner :)
I'll just cross them over as I read them & link up the reviews as I write them!

Wrap Up:

So, I didn't manage to read only The Calling & The Rising, as well as the 2 short stories from The Gathering.

It's Monday! What Are You Reading? #81

What I've been reading last week?

Last week I finished J.D. Robb's Glory in Death, which I liked, and I read 5 more books: Ready Player One by Ernest Cline (this one was a re-read & I absolutely loved it once again & couldn't put it down and it also helped me to end my not-quite-a-reading-slump slump and I can't recommend it enough), then I read The Statistical Probability of Love at First Sight by Jennifer E. Smith, Luscious by Amanda Usen, 13 to Life by Shannon Delany & Succubus Lost by Tifany Allee and I enjoyed all of these, so yeah, it has been a great reading week for me :)

What I'll be reading this week?

Well, I have no idea, I guess I need a little break from all that reading last week ;) and I don't know how much time I'll have for reading this week, but I did start 2 more books this weekend, so I'll probably continue reading them (if I'm in mood for them). Those books are:
